Elder Logan Scheele

Logan's apartment complex, so far the nicest apartment in his mission. He's currently in the Centralia Washington, in the Scatter Creek Ward. They're currently working on tracking, this area hasn't had any missionaries in a long time, they have been tracking the whole area for the past couple of weeks.

His current companion is Gabe Westover and he's from Ozark, MO which is about two hours away from us in Arkansas. 

 

 Well hi I guess. I was just reading carsons email and I was dieing for a fat minute when he said he was on bikes now. Anyway I've got to stop laughing about that or I'm going to be biking my area soon. And I don't want to bike 50 miles a day soo.

But to get on with everything I just got transferred into a new area a couple weeks ago. So now I'm in a large rural area this transfer, and my mission president wanted us to hit up the outskirts of our area. It's been slow just tracting everywhere since we also opened up a new area so we have nothing In our area book. Anyway aside from that. I've been getting headaches practically everyday for the past month or so, so I'm just banging my head on a wall at this point to make then go away soo. Hopefully it's nothing too serious but you never know. But oh the price of fast food here is expensive I don't know what caused it but anything now costs like 10 bucks minimum here so that's been gutrenching. I do like me some fast food. but it's not like I have any places to eat out here in Scatter creek. : Uhh let's see what else has happened it's been 77 days so far and there is 654 days left. But hey 10.5335157312% done :> it's going by super fast and then some days soooo flipin slooow. Oh and word of advice aperantly not having a counter helps aperantly. Go figure. But I'm In a brand new apartment this transfer it's not even on Google maps yet. Aperantly the last apartment for this area had water damage, and believe it or not a meth lab explosion that burned part of it down. Then as a chery on top the car I got for this transfer was just recoverd after being stolen and then recovered in Portland missing a few windows some body damage oh and of course you can't forget the drugs that were in it too. So when I went to pick it up it was immaculate. Oh and it's a 2021 Chevy equinox. Also known as the worst most gutless blindspot inducing car ever known to man. So in other words I miss my car. Oh and the tiwi! Oh that is the worst invention known to man. It yells at you if you go 7 over and there are some roads that don't have speed limit signs, but aperantly the tiwi does so guess who gets to go like 20 when traffic is going 40? But it is a rather good experience. It's great when you have friends who are progressing and then you get ripped out of the area and have no friends nothing nada. I haven't had a lesson in 2 weeks, but hey it is what it is. I just know that it's been a great learning experience going from Raman noodles and cheese between two tortious as food to spaghetti is quite a nice change. Cough first two weeks. Elder Scheele

After leaving the MTC, Logan ran into Elder. Uchtdorf at the airport on his way to Washington State. He came up to Logan and pronounced his last name correctly. Logan was super excited. He even put his hand on his shoulder and took a picture with him.

Elder Logan Scheele's first area was Longview WA. He was in a for a big culture shocked. Lots of rain, lots of homeless people, and this town has a big paper mill and it smelled really bad. This was his first area. He was with a group of three missionaries. They were in a tiny studio apartment with a total of 5 missionaries. He had to learn how to cook as well. They didn't get feed that much in Longview.

Logan was part of MTC experiment group. He got to go to the Temple, every other day. He went for a total of 8 times. He called the MTC his "Mini Prison". He was happy to leave.

This is Arkansas Street. It's also the worst area in his mission. He's really missing NW Arkansas. He's slowly getting adjusted to the nonstop rain in Washington State.

Now, Logan is moving on. He's going to his second area. He's being transferred to Scatter Creek Washington. He's moving on Wed. He can't wait to go. His next area is much smaller area and no stinky paper mill. 

 

 Our baby got baptized! Number 5 is baptised. We will never have another baptism in our family. Lindsey made the decision to be baptized. Auntie Amy and cousins came to the baptism plus the neighbor girl, Bella. The girls sang "I'm A Child Of God". Leilani was suppose to do a solo, "A Child's Prayer" but she got scared and ran off...lol. Grandpa gave a talk on "Baptism" and Grandma gave a talk on "The Holy Ghost". Daddy did the baptism and her grandpa and brothers joined in the confirnation except Logan wasn't suppose to join in the circle. We have to re-do it in the morning before church. We went to Olive Garden afterwards to celebrate!

SILVER DOLLAR CITY ROLLS

SDC Rolls

1 cup milk

1 egg beaten

4 T butter

4 T water

1/2 box instant vanilla pudding (small box)

4 cups of bread flour

1 T sugar

2 1/2 t. Yeast

1 t. Salt

Slightly warm milk then add all ingredients to bread machine according to Mfg’s instructions. Set to dough cycle.

*roll out and brush with melted butter 1-1 1/2 sticks

*Mix 1 cup of brown sugar with 1 T cinnamon

*sprinkle mixture over dough

*Roll up and pinch seam

*cut into 1 1/2” circles

Brush with melted butter and let rise until double.

*Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Let cool.

When cool frost

4 oz cream cheese

4 T butter

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

1 t milk

1 t vanilla

Optional 1 cup of nuts

I always bake with real butter. It has such a good flavor.

Elder Landon R. Scheele and Elder Neyman!!!

When Landon's companion found out that Landon was flying to Utah and taking the shuttle to the MTC. He's parents asked if they could pick him up from the airport and drive them together to the MTC. Landon seemed very relieved, to be getting a ride to the MTC. Luckily, Delder Neyman got some great pictures and emailed them to me! Landon realy does look like a real missionary. I know he's going to have a blast at the MTC. I have never seen him so happy! He's going up so fast!.
