Watch Me Strink

I'm getting closer to finishing my 90 day program of Chalean Extreme! I decided it would be fun to show you a couple of pictures of me. I decided to go with just the backside. My blog isn't private and I'm not sure who excatly reads my blog. So, here are the pictures. The first thing you will notice is my back rolls are almost completely gone and I have much more smaller butt. Ha, ha! Anyway, my arms are much more tone and so are my legs. If you want to see my other pictures than let me know. You can always come over and view them. My stomach is much flatter and my body fat percentage is down big time. Also, my hips and abductors are way smaller. I went from a size 10/12 to size 6/8! I did managed to put on a size 6 shorts and top. They ended up being way too tight but I did get them on. My final goal is get into size 6 clothes and size small.
I'm planning on running in another 5k this weekend. All of this running is really helping to drop all of these pounds as well.
I still have 29 more days to go and I will be done. I'm hoping to even have bigger changes by the end of the month. So, come back next month to see the final results.

Racing Results

I just finished checking the racing results from the Cancer Challenge:

http://www.cancerchallenge.com/Assets/Documents/5K+FEMALE+RESULTS.pdf

I came in 26th place out of 117 female racers.

Here's the really cool part.

I came in 2nd place for my age group!

I thought, I did horrible but I turned out doing an awesome job. I need to work on not being so hard on myself.

Goals...

Running goals...

I'm going to run in a half-marthon this fall.

It's going to be the hardest thing, I have ever done.

I'm going to try to go down to Rush Running and get a complete training schedule made up for the half marthon.

This is a training schedule, I found online:

Tour De Cure-Oct. 3, 2009!

http://www.runnersworld.com/cda/racefinderdetail/1,,s6-239-283-284-0-0-0-0-1900142,00.html

Yikes!!! I should hopefully, have three whole months to train.

I'm also running another 5k on Sat with my friend Tia from church.

Should be lots of fun. My legs are still killing me from yesterday's race. Hopefully, I will be fully recovered for this next race. Racing is so much fun!!!!

Obsession

Yes, I'm obsessed with running. My wonderful hubby thought to make me aware I'm obsessed with running and exercising. At first, I was not too happy with him. Ya, nice. If I remember he was the one that basically told me I was fat and need to lose weight without coming right out and saying it. I got his hints. Ya, whatever! Men can be so dumb. Yes, fitness and nutrition are a big part of my life know. I do have a life outside of the home and the kids. I'm working on setting a good example for them. Working out can be fun and very rewarding. I'm all about eating right and reading up on the all the lastest information on working out and running. I will not fail in losing the weight and getting back into the best shape of my life. Thanks...

Anyway, I ran in another 5K run this morning. It was sooooo HOT, Humid, and HOT!!!!!!!!!!!

I ended up running into one of Leroy's co-workers. I felt kinda dumb that I didn't know that he was running but he knew that I was running. Leroy really needs to work on his communication skills. Ya, this guy totally past me up on the race. I was hoping he wouldn't past me but I guess he must be in better shape than I thought. His kinda a big tall guy. I'm going to have to ask Leroy to ask what time he finished the race.

I was busy streching my legs when I noticed my right hamstring was super tight. I decided to get a free massage. I'm not a touchy feely person. Wonderful!!!! The guy did a great job. Only one of my hamstrings were tight. He thought it was odd. He did a couple of deep massages but it still was tight. His wife showed me a new way to really strech the muscle. It worked awesome.

I started off to a great start to the race. I was in the front and took off super fast. I managed to do the first mile in 7 minutes. I was on fire. The weather outside was frightful. 100% humditiy and 91 degrees outside. The heat didn't brother me to much in the beginning of the race. The second mile, I was still making really good time. The third mile, I thought I was going to die. The heat was really starting to get to me. I was exhausted. I ended up having to run up a hill than over a bridge. I was so slow. I thought for sure I would end with an awesome time. I was orginially planning on sprinting in really fast at the end but I was wiped out. I ended up finishing at excatly at 29:00 minutes. I really was hoping to get in at 28:00 minutes.
My biggest mistake was running to fast in the beginning and dying at the end. The trick in running in a race is to hold back in the beginning and finish really strong at the end. I'm going to run in another 5k on 4th of July. Hopefully, I have learned my lesson. I will say that 29:00 minutes is still my best time. I'm trying hard not to be too hard on myself. I'm not going to give up.

I'm obsessed!!!!!!!!!!!

Blueberries For Sal

Blueberries are finally in season! We spent all morning yesterday, in the dead heat and sun shine picking blueberries. I really tried to leave early but Landon decided to throw a hour long fit over breakfast. By the time we left, it was close to 8:00am. Landon ended up getting no breakfast. Of course, it wasn't my problem. He had to let everyone around us know he didn't get breakfast. Not my problem. I offered and he refused. Ya, we were going at it for a while at the blueberry farm. After, we picked our first bucket. I found my friend Nancy and the boys took off playing with her boys. Finally, I was able to get some picking done. At this point, all of the bushes were picked but that didn't stop us. It ended up taking forever. A total of three hours for three gallons of blueberries. I'm going to go back next week. Does anyone want to watch my kids?
Everytime we go blueberry picking. I always think of this book. If you haven't read it before your missing out. This book is a classic. I found out my friend Krista loves this book and its one of her favorite children's book. Just like in the book, were Sal goes blueberry picking with her mother. I took my kids blueberry picking. The kids didn't come across a bear but a turtle. Boy, did that turtle keep the kids busy. If it wasn't for the turtle we probably would of left a lot sooner.
I decided to try using my friend Nancy's jucier/steamer to make blueberry syrup. Wow, I need to get on for myself. This thing make's it so easy to make blueberry juice. I'm going to put this on my wish list.

The kids just had to help. They loved squeezing the clamp and watching the juice come out of the juicer.Seriously, this just took a few minutes.

Don't try to make syrup in this little size of a pot. It ended up boiling over and created a huge mess.

Ta-dah! Blueberry Syrup! All that work for only a couple of jars. I'm done! Yes, I did it. I can't wait to try it.

Seeing Less of Me!

Wow, I just finished another 30 day of Chalean Extreme. You might of noticed recently, I'm slimming down big time. Yahoo! The weight is really starting to come off and I'm getting leaner, tighter, and stronger. I'm planning on running in another 5k run this Saturday. The cancer challenge race is going to be this weekend. It's super hot this week. I'm not sure how great my time will be in this boiling hot weather. Also, I'm still going strong with the program. I have some serious muscles which you might notice because I'm still working on losing some more fat off my body. I'm losing about one pound per week. I lost again another 4 pounds this month. I lost a ton of inches off my body. I still need to sit down and calculate the numbers. I'm currently a size 8 but I'm hoping to eventually get into a size 6 by the time I'm done with the program. My biggest challenge is I need heavier weights. I can't wait to see my results in another 30 days. I'm a lean mean fighting machine. I have lost a total of 11.75 inches off my body, lost 11.3% of my body fat percentage, and a total of 8 pounds.

Random Shoots...

Today, I was busy downloading pictures off my camera's memory stick. I came across of these random pictures on my camera. I didn't realize, I was being photographed. Oh, let's see! Who was taking all the pictures...
Here I'm setting the kitchen timer.
Landon and I looking up something on the computer.Oh, look who done it!

LOGAN!!!!
Here's my silly little boy! Can't ever make a nice and normal face. The little guy really thinks his funny.

The Lost Valley

Photobucket
We decided to spend Father's Day by celebrating with a nature hike. He ended going with a group of Leroy's co-workers and family for a nice hike called "The Lost Valley"! It's located about one hour and thirty minutes away. I decided at the last minute to ask my neighbor to watch Leah. I really didn't feel like having to carry all 30 pounds on the hike. We left early in the morning to try to avoid the heat! I'm so glad we left early because it turned out to be a killer hot day. The falls is located near the Buffalo National River. I'm hoping we can go back soon and try a day out rafting down the Buffalo river. The kids had so much fun hiking with daddy and I. The hike is prefect for the whole family and it doesn't matter what your fitness level is! This trail is easy. The kids enjoyed two waterfalls and the cave was the best part. Leroy took the boys up into the cave. Inside the cave is a waterfall which is close to 100 feet tall/long. We decided to end the day by getting Custard Icecream. Yummy. A nice cool way to end a great hiking day with the kids.

My Summer Reading Books...

Last month, I decided to purchase a set of my favorite children's book ever. Anne of Green Gables. I felled in love with Anne from the PBS series that aired back in the 80's. I finally got around reading the whole "Anne" series when Logan was a little itty bitty newborn. It's been almost four years since I have read anymore books about Anne of Green Gables. I recently, learned that L.M. Montgomery had written several other novels and short stories. I seriously had no idea. I just finished reading Jane of Lateran Hill and Kilmeny of the Orchard. I'm currently reading Mistress Pat. I absolutely love L. M. Montgomery writing style. I literally feel like I'm on Prince Edward Island back in time. All of the characters are lovable, warm, and so inviting. I can clearly image myself right on Prince Edward Island.
This is the image in my mind. This is where I'm spending my summer's vacation. Of course in my mind, everytime I get a chance to bury my face into one of her books, I feel literally like I"m escaping reality and going back into time back like a hundred years ago. I would love to go someday to Prince Edward Island and check out Green Gables. It's so far away, I'm not sure if I will ever get there but I can always dream.
I'm currently, waiting for this at the library. I really didn't want to spend the money. I did an inter loan request. The librarian said it could take a long time to get in. It all depends on the other library when they will decided to mail it to the Rogers library. Hopefully, it will get here soon. I can't wait to read it. I'm told its a classic.

More Anne, If you haven't read this series your missing out big time. You can't help to feel sorry for poor Anne Shirley. Anne is so likeable and with such a wild imagation. I Love her!!!

I'm currently reading Mistress Pat. I love it. I really feel like I'm at Silver Bush. I can image every little detial in my mind. I can't wait to finish it. It's going to be a couple more late nights of reading to finish this book.
Another all time favorite. You will fall right in love with Victoria Jane or as "Jane" likes to be really called. Oh, you will end up hating her over bearing grandmother but will fall into love with her father on P.E. Island. Her mother will eventually grow a spine. I don't want to give the ending a way.

So, this is my reading project this summer. P.E. Island and me are going to have fun this summer. I will keep you posted. L.M. Montgomery will not disappoint you. Every book is a pure joy! I hope you will take a chance and read her books. Pure Magic and Pure Joy. Innocent and fun loving books.

Flowers and Patches

A special package arrived in the mail. Grandpa sent the boys two patches from the Gray's Fossil Muesum. The kids weren't too excited when they saw the patches. Once, I explained we could iron them onto their t-shirts. They were super excited. Landon kept on wanting to use really old and dirty shirts. I finally convinced them that plain white t-shirts would work best. Each boy, picked out the spot they wanted their patches ironed on. The t-shirts turned out awesome. The boys were so excited to show the neighbor boy. Landon proudly exclaimed that his Auntie worked at the fossil muesum. She didn't know what she did but that she helped at the muesum.
Very proud of his shirt!

Also, my flowers are bloom'n like crazy. Don't they look great.

I didn't even plant this sunflower. The seed most of come from our bird feeder.

I think this is a day lily? I could be wrong.

I just love this time of the year!

The Lemonade Stand

Landon and Logan, my budding entrepreneurs at the age of 6 and 4 years old decided to set up their own Lemonade stand. They recruited the two neighbor boys across the street to help them with their business. They decided to split all the profits four ways. The kids found old little dixie cups, I bought lemonade, Logan set up the stand, Landon did the advertising, and Logan made a money box out of an old dixie cup box. He even made a hole in the box to drop the money into the box. The boys decided to sell the lemonade for 25 cents per cup. Everything was set up and ready to go. The only real problem was Leah and Joseph kept on stealing cups of lemonade. It took the boys a while to figure out, not to pour to many cups of lemonade ahead of time or else the little one's were busy stealing drinks.

All set up and waiting for their first customers!
Mr. Perfection has to have everything just right.

Landon decided it would be best to make himself into a billboard.

The lemonade stand ended up being a huge success. The kids ended up making close to $6.00. I really didn't think anyone would stop but I was wrong. The neighbors did a great job. Stopping by and talking to the kids. Of course, my kids are so quiet and shy. They barely said anything to the neighbors that came to get some lemonade. Overall, super successful and I feel my guys are going to be very successful in future business ventures.

It's been awhile...

Come and sit down with me. It's been awhile. We just got back from our weekend trip to Chicago for my sister's baby blessing. I'm working on uploading tons of photos from our trip. I will come back and post pictures later on today. I must of spent a good portion of my day washing, drying, and folding laundry. I'm still trying to get myself settled back to a normal routine.

This is Landon's last day of school. I still can't believe it. It's almost over. I can't wait for summer. No more alarm clocks. I'm planning on spending a lot of time at the pool. Lots of lazy summer days doing nothing in particular.

I'm currently, learning how to knit. I'm working on a dish rag. It's going slow but I'm determined to figure it out.

I'm only 1.5 pounds away from my weight loss goal. I'm still working hard on losing weight and getting in shape.

Leroy is planning on taking me to Hawaii. Even more moviation to lose the weight.

I'm going to be really busy this summer. I'm not sure, if I'm going to have much time to blog.

So, thanks for reading my blog.
