Who would of ever thought...
of my using power tools. Who ever said girls can't use power tools is just plain lame. I did it. I didn't want to wait for my hubby to come home to do it. So, I figure it couldn't be too hard. I wouldn't lie it was scary at first but I eventually got the hang of it. Kid's size picnic table is coming along nicely!

Just Graduted
I have been so busy lately. I feel really bad about neglecting my blog. I'm going to try to get everyone updated. Life has been very busy the past couple of months. Well, the last four months have been CRAZY!
As some of you know, I signed up to become a Arkansas Master Naturalist program. I spent many, many, and many Saturdays at Hobbs State Park learning all about the natural resources and ecology of the state of Arkansas. I would literaly be gone all day long in at the State Park. The program is basically set up that professionals and professors would lector and have hands on experiences. I learn so much and the best part no test or research papers.
I feel like I have gain so much knowledge...I hoping in the feature to be able to start volunteer and work on helping to education the community.
Leroy was really good about watching the kids so I could attend my classes. Landon said he like it when I was gone becuase dad would have to spend time with him. I really felt like I was able to recharge my batteries which in the end has allowed me to be a better wife, mother, and person.
So, I graduted about two weeks ago. It's official. I completed the program. I still have about one year to get 40 hours of volunteer time and I need 8 hours of advance training.

Setting The Example
While working out to Chalean this morning. Leah grab my scriptures and sat down on the couch. She pulled out my checklist and got busy pretending to read the scriptures. If I wasn't in the middle of my workout. I would of taken a picture. It was too cute.

Reach Another Goal
I started off this year, with a new committment to read the Book of Morman in 60 days. I decided to meet the challenge set by my Relief Society president. She gave us this great resource which I didn't know about called LDS Scripture tools. You plug in your information and it gives you a personalize scripture reading plan. You just have to print off your plan and you check off each box when finish the day's reading assignment. Well, I read the BofM in 60 days. I'm happy to announce that I just finish reading the Doctrine and Covenants in 60 days as well. My next plan is to read the New Testament in 60 days which isn't going to be easy because I will be on vacation so it's going to take an extra effort on my part. Reading the scriptures has always been a huge challenge for me. I don't really enjoy it nor understand it all the time but I know it's affecting my life. I'm drawing closer to the Lord, I have the spirit with me more often, and I'm a better wife, mother, and person. So, if you would like to join me please do so...I can't seem to remember the last time I read the New Testament. It was probably back in Early Morning Seminary.

Going Wild
The best place to visit animals..with kids. I decided to pull Landon out of school so he could join everyone at the Safari Drive Thru. The rules are to keep the windows up and not to feed the animals. We managed to break both of the rules and had a blast feeding all of the animals. The baby animals were too cute. I managed to hold a baby monkey which really wasn't too cuddly. The little guy kept on trying to escape. Also, I decided to be brave and have a snake wrap around me. My sister decided if I was going to do so was she. So, my sister decided to try out the snake as well. All of the boys, had to try it out two times. So, if you have family in town this is the place to go to...way to much fun. It's worth every bit of money!
