applesauce-Special Made

I created this special recipe for my little boy Logan! I'm going to name this recipe Logan's Applesauce. It's so easy to make. I still had a small half bushel of apples left over from my canning adventures. I decided to go ahead and try to make applesauce in the crockpot. I love it. The house smells awesome. The pumpkin spice gives it a real nice fall taste to it. It's not too strong but just the right amount of spice. Also, the applesauce is a little chunky just how Logan likes his applesauce! So, here's the recipe!

Logan's Applesauce
8 apples - peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
1/2 cup water
3/4 cup packed brown sugar or white sugar
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Combine the apples and water in a slow cooker; cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours. Stir in the sugar and pumpkin pie spice; continue cooking another 30 minutes.
Once done cooking, I used my hand held blender to mash up the apples to turn it into applesauce. Process jars for 20 minutes in hot water bath.

The Applesauce sounds yummy. I thought I would post something after what you said on FB about Meg being the only one that post stuff on your blog. If more people are like me they read the blog but, never post. I should try to post more often. :)
